How this address checker works
The checker sends one public address to a server-side API, validates the address format, fetches address-level statistics from a public Esplora-compatible source, and optionally estimates USD value from BTC/USD reference pricing when available. Balances are shown in BTC; use the Satoshi to Bitcoin Converter to compare BTC with sats.

Can I check any Bitcoin address?
This MVP supports likely Bitcoin mainnet addresses starting with 1, 3, or bc1. It rejects private keys, seed phrases, xpub-style keys, unsupported formats, and very long input.
Does 1Bitcoin.xyz store searched Bitcoin addresses?
No. 1Bitcoin.xyz does not store searched addresses, create accounts, or keep a transaction history for this checker.
Can this tool send Bitcoin?
No. This is an informational address checker only. It does not connect to wallets, hold funds, sign transactions, or send Bitcoin.
Why is the USD value estimated?
The BTC balance comes from public address data, while the USD value depends on an available BTC/USD reference rate. It may differ from wallets, exchanges, or brokers.
